Manu, what motivated you to found kreutzers.eu in 2014?
Manuel Ostner: Undoubtedly, the birth of my twins—and the accompanying promise to my family that I would never again have to eat inferior food. Another factor was certainly my intense craving for the best steaks at Kreutzers restaurant in Regensburg. There, Matthias Kreutzer introduced me to the world of high-quality "meat indulgences"—and truly inspired me in a lasting way.

Kreutzers has some of the highest standards for quality and sustainability in the market. How do you manage to meet these standards every day?
Manuel Ostner: The fundamental principle is to question ourselves every day – to never stand still, to constantly evolve. Clear principles and high standards are the necessary pillars of a vision. Through our strong international network of reliable suppliers, manufacturers, and producers, our social media community, and our perseverance, we can continuously improve the quality we offer our customers.

Kreutzers started as a purely online meat delivery service – today you are much more than that and offer products from many product segments. How do you discover new products – and what qualities must they possess to be considered for Kreutzers?
Manuel Ostner: We started in the niche market of premium meat delivery, that's true. But the idea of ​​offering my family only the best sustainable food has always been paramount. Always everything from a single source. Always without compromise. So, if sustainable food comes from the region where it originated and also tastes good, then we're in! And a good shared culinary experience includes everything: meat, vegan products, sauces, the occasional fine wine, cheese, fish, and much, much more.
