KREUTZERS Potato Gratin
For this Friday before Ash Wednesday, we're definitely going for a good energy boost! Our potato gratin is easy to prepare, but tastes fantastic and is a great accompaniment to any piece of meat!
Ingredients:
- 600g of waxy potatoes
- 250 ml cream
- 2 cloves of garlic
Preparation:
- Wash, peel, and thinly slice the potatoes and place them in a casserole dish.
- Peel the garlic and place it in a measuring cup.
- Add the cream, salt, pepper and nutmeg to the garlic in the measuring cup and mix everything with a blender or immersion blender until the garlic is finely chopped.
- Now pour the seasoned cream over the potatoes and mix evenly. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) with convection for approximately 45 minutes.
- You can test if the potatoes are cooked through with a toothpick. The toothpick should easily slide through the gratin to the bottom of the baking dish. Serve.
TIP: The cream should be seasoned to taste like the gratin should after cooking, and preferably a bit stronger, because potatoes absorb a lot of salt.
