The DIETZEL MEAT MANUFACTORY produces the finest sausage specialties from Duroc pigs under the STROHGLÜCK seal. Raising and breeding this breed has a long tradition dating back to the 18th century. The Duroc pig originated in the USA through the crossbreeding of old European breeds with African and Iberian pigs. Even today, the brown and black spots and characteristic floppy ears are typical of the breed. Uniform breed standards have been established since 1885, and the Duroc is known as one of the most exquisite pig breeds in the world. Its meat is prized by connoisseurs for its tender and juicy texture, thanks to its high percentage of intramuscular fat.
