These are caused by the dogs searching for the truffles. All truffles vary in shape, size, and aroma – no two truffles are alike.

We at Kreutzers.eu travel the world to find products of the highest quality and unbeatable excellence for you. This principle applies to meat, wine, and of course: truffles!

A truffle is, at first glance, nothing more than the fruiting body of a fungus, but its incomparable flavor quickly made this special mushroom a sought-after delicacy. There's just one catch: this coveted treasure grows underground, so how do you find it?

Luckily, pigs love truffles just as much as we humans do, but they have a far more refined sense of smell, making them ideal truffle hunters and finders! Specially trained dogs are also used in truffle hunting.

Where expertise complements each other – our truffle partner in Bulgaria!

Northern Bulgaria offers the best growing conditions for truffles: a perfect soil composition, without chemicals or additives, enough sun and sufficient water, as well as frost, ensure magnificent specimens full of flavor.

How lucky we are to have found a local family right here who have been passionately harvesting top-quality truffles for three generations and selling them to us! These harvesters not only focus on the prized fungi, but also ensure that the trees remain healthy and the soil free of additives. This is the only way to maintain the exceptional quality of the truffles! Bulgarian truffles are every bit as good as those from France or Italy and are available in our shop just 36 hours after harvesting – lucky us!
