We've already done the peeling for you with these delicious mussels.
Blue mussels are also called pole mussels, a name undoubtedly derived from their tendency to attach themselves to rocks or wooden pilings in the intertidal zones of the sea, becoming visible at low tide. The name "blue mussel" itself says nothing about the mussel's characteristics, but rather refers to the Middle High German word for moss. The blue mussel could just as easily be called a "moss mussel." This name comes from the brown, sticky threads with which this mussel attaches itself to its substrate. Our blue mussels are freshly prepared and taste of the sea: creamy and salty with a slightly mineral note. A true delight!
Schwamm's Seafood – Quality that convinces!
Mussels taste delicious in classic dishes, prepared with a white wine broth or on pasta and pizza. We've definitely saved you the hassle of peeling them.
Kreutzers TKF – Frozen fresh for the best quality!
For some of our products, you'll find "TKF" after the name. This means you can choose the frozen version when ordering (please don't be confused by the "best before" date on delivery; this only applies to chilled goods). For the sake of sustainability, and to prevent waste, we flash-freeze all items that we can't sell fresh in time. This is done well before the "best before" date at a storage temperature below 2°C, ensuring the product's high quality. "TKF" doesn't mean you'll receive lower quality, but simply that the product is frozen. NOTE: We recommend thawing gently in the refrigerator. For optimal enjoyment, simply place your TKF item in the refrigerator for 24 hours before preparation.
See for yourself the quality and freshness of our products and have your mussels conveniently delivered to your home!
