Elsenbach pasture pig

Special features

Year-round, species-appropriate pasture grazing

Old, robust and sometimes endangered pig breeds

Stress-free on-site slaughter

Elsenbach pasture-raised pigs stand for genuine craftsmanship and consistently species-appropriate animal husbandry. Our pigs live year-round on approximately 6 hectares of pastureland with spring, summer, and winter areas, woodlands, straw shelters, and their own spring – perfect for expressing their natural behaviors.
Only old, robust pig breeds such as Bunte Bentheimer, rotbunte Husumer, deutsches Sattelschwein, Iberico, Duke of Berkshire and Mangaliza Wollschwein are bred – known for their special meat quality and their resilience.

The animals are fed a special mixture of regional grains, brewer's spent grain, and whatever else nature offers seasonally – without antibiotics or additives. At the same time, the animals contribute to preserving biodiversity in the pastures.

Slaughtering takes place stress-free directly on site – without transport, for the best meat quality.

The result: robust flavor, fine marbling, and unadulterated quality that clearly sets it apart from conventional products. Anyone seeking authentic taste will love Elsenbach pasture-raised pork.
